Part III. Chimera

Chapter 64 Virus came to Earth on a meteorite (2)

Galaxy wandered on the earth during the ice age in search of a life which was suitable as host creature. The Galaxy sought a safe place to live by winning the battle with the indigenous lives, or by coexisting with them sharing the individual organs of host. After that, Galaxy continued to fight or coexist with other viruses that invaded into the host one after another. Galaxy passed on its genetic information to the next generation by means of cell division, and attempted to multiply and regenerate. The newly born Galaxy migrated to other host belong to the same group, and eventually obtained a safe haven for all of the host creatures.

It was not only natives or new intruders but also the death of the host itself that threatened the life of the Galaxy. When the life of the host was over, the life of the Galaxy itself was over, too. It was the destiny of a parasite. Galaxy couldn’t escape from its fate.

The external environment in which the host lived was by no means safe, too. It was dominated by the law of the jungle. To escape various dangers, the weak acquired various special talents. Birds gained wings to escape from terrestrial enemies. Turtles, when attacked by foreign predators, hid in their shells and waited for the enemy to give up and leave. And some creatures escaped from the enemy's attack with quick runaway. In these manners, the weak survived and left their descendants.

Galaxy tried to search for a host in many ways. They finally found a safe haven in the reproductive organs of the Arabian Oryx. It ended up as a result of overcoming the survival competition against other viruses. It was the cycle of prosperity and extinction of the species. Needless to say, the Creator foresaw everything.

Arabian Oryx was one of the weakest animals on the Earth. They were easily targeted by enemies. However, Oryx had survived by finding food in the harsh natural environment of the desert, which rejected the survival of other ordinary animals. They could escape from enemies with a quick runaway.
