Chapter 60 Ethnic Cleanser
(3)
Shy-Rock
shrugged off the word of Dr. Girgo without raising an eyebrow and asked back.
“Did you get good
results in the United States?”
From
the beginning, the initiative of the conversation belonged to the practical ex-general.Cowered
by the general's hawk-like eyes, Girgo answered standing stiffly at attention.
"Yes
sir, I am asking for your Excellency's help today."
Shy-Rock
got in touch with the Surgeon General before he saw Dr. Girgo. He confirmed the
rumor that Girgo discovered the new virus. It was the reason why he met Dr.
Girgo.
Ex-general
listened silently and carefully to the young doctor for a while. And now he was
convinced that Girgo's new discovery was not fake. He thought he would bet the
future of the Jews on the virus newly discovered.
Shy-Rock
firmly believed that the Jews were the Chosen People. He was satisfied that Israel
achieved the independence at the promised land of Canaan, and won several
subsequent wars against the Arabs. He also satisfied that his country was
globally recognized backing of the United States. He was sure that Israel would
never be defeated militarily or economically by the surrounding Arab countries.
However,
he was anxious about the future number of Jews and Palestinians in Israel. It
was changing year by year in favor of Palestine. The pregnancy rate of
Palestinian women was higher than that of Jews. Furthermore, even within the
same Jews, the population growth ratio varied according to the genealogy.
That
is, Ashkenazi families like Shy-Rock had fewer children than the non-Ashkenazi
Jews who immigrated from Russia when the U.S.S.R. collapsed. The number of
Ashkenazim, whom the General believed to be of pure Jews, was declining, and was
about to be drown among Palestinians and non-Ashkenazi Jews in the future. The
retired general was seriously anxious about that.
The
physical elimination of Palestinians was the replay of tragedy of Holocaust in
which the Nazis tried to wipeout the Jews from the earth. It was also impossible
to increase the number of Ashkenazim children only. Young female Ashkenazim,
who were now enjoying an affluent life same as social ruling classes, didn’t like
to have many children as most of the women in Western countries. The general was
impatient about the future of Ashkenazim.
