Part I. Israel bombs a nuclear plant in Iran

Chapter 27. U.S. military embarks on (5)

Three Israeli jets continued to fly over the Persian Gulf. Fuel was almost empty. On the left bank of Persian Gulf, it was Iran. And on the right bank, there were Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, etc. All of them hostile were countries against Israel. If the pilots got too close to land and invaded the territory, they would meet encounter scrambles by enemy fighters, or they could be intercepted by surface-to-air missiles. There might be an idea to send a rescue signal "Mayday" to the US Air Force base in Qatar. But if they asked the United States’ rescue, US would burden troublesome diplomatic problems. The airstrike was Israel's unilateral military action. The United States was informed of the airstrike plan in advance and tolerated it. But it was merely an implicit understanding. There was no promise to support Israel actively. Israeli pilots were not allowed to seek help at their own discretion.

The open airspace in the Persian Gulf between Iran and Arab countries were very narrow. The corridors were now the only free and safe place left for Israeli aircraft. It turned into a single line at the Strait of Hormuz. After passing through the strait, Israeli pilots could enjoy open airspace of the Arabian Sea and then the Indian Ocean. They could escape just before emergency landing in the sea and wait for rescue while drifting on the ocean. But the imminent situation didn’t allow them to continue the flight. They didn’t have enough fuel to pass the Strait of Hormuz.

At that very moment, they heard clean English through their headphones.

"This is US military air force in Doha. We are now just behind you. We will guide you safely to the destination. Answer, please!"

The "Elite" immediately responded to US pilot. His voice was delightful. “The Mafia” monitored it and his face was suffused with a broad smile. He was convinced that he could return home as a hero.

But only "Abdullah" was different. He wasn't relieved, much less overjoyed. Rather, his face was shaded for a moment, and then the sense of fear arose from within his body.

<Will it really rescue? >

He heard an inner voice saying, "This must be a clever trap."

His brain tried to believe in the rescue by US. The brain should control all the movements of the body with rationalism and commanded them by force. But every part of his body had a different voice. They had begun to revolt at once against the brain.

<Who is the rebel? > Abdullah desperately repeated the question in an attempt to avoid the divorce of his brain and body. However, his mind became confused and he gradually lost his consciousness. An unknown rebel had been dominating his brain.
